Making Connections with Manipulatives in Mathematics

Teaching children mathematics does not have to be a daunting task. When children discover mathematics through literature and the use of manipulatives, learning is enjoyable. They make connections that last a lifetime. We are going to consider only two examples of the use of manipulatives, and a few literature connections to help you begin to explore the endless possibilities.
